Traveling experiences with Green Card after AOS - Previous overstay & arrests
I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this, but I was wondering if any of you that already have your green cards and are still looking through this forum could share your experiences traveling after receiving your green cards.

The whole AOS/interview process went fine and I have my green card. However, I previously overstayed my visa and also have 2 arrests (DUI - charges dropped, driving with expired license over 6 months - guilty). I would think that after clearing all the background checks during the AOS process all would be fine, but I have read that some people experience issues during reentry. Once you have a green card you are not inadmissible, but can be found deportable. Some of these issue happen when the arrests happen AFTER receiving the green card which is understandable, but others have happened for arrests prior to receiving the GC. Worst case scenario is after secondary questioning at the border/airport they put you in something called deferred inspection where you have to go before an immigration judge and plead your case as to why you should be able to remain in the country.

My lawyer says I have nothing to worry about, but I can't help but be nervous after reading some others experiences. Any insight into this matter would be appreciated.
