Interview on 10/24. Approved on the spot.
I had my interview yesterday in Mount Laurel NJ. My pd is 06/05/17

I got there 15 min before my appointment, but was called 30 mins AFTER my appointment.
The IO was a female between 50 and 60 years old. I consider myself very lucky, I could not had a better interviewer. The lady was very friendly, interacted with us and talked about her personal life. She barely asked questions. After the oath she asked who live with us and we said "us and our cat". She talked about how one of her in laws love cats etc. she asked the yes/no questions from the form I-485 and then she explained how the conditional green card works. "You will be approved and 90 days before your card expire you will need to apply for the permanent one". I was shocked when she said I was approved! I was like... "is that it????"
She asked if any information has changed since I applied. I said yes because I renewed my passport. She updated it. She asked if I had any questions and I was so shocked that the interview was done that I asked "do you need copies of any other document?"
I was holding a huge binder with all of our documents plus a photo album with 300 pictures. She said "more documents is good. What do you have there?" So I gave to her updated copies of the life and car insurance, recent bank statements, phone calls log etc. while she was punching holes in the papers to add them to my file she asked why we picked that particular date for our wedding (we got married in February) and we said it's our anniversary month and Valentine's Day. She said "how wonderful!"

That was it. She NEVER opened our photo album or looked at any document (just our passports). She said we had submitted more than enough documents and were very organized.

The whole interview took about 25 minutes - just because she talked too much about her own life lol

My tip for you guys: when you are putting your application together, be organized!!! submit everything in order, add all of the supporting documents with the corresponding forms, label everything and make a table of contentes to make it easier for the office to find everything. If your relationship is real, they will know it before you even get in their office. I really think that lady already knew all about us and that we were real based on my application.

Quick note: Although we were approved on the spot, my status never changed online and I never got a text saying I was approved. I hope I get the green card in the next 2 weeks and the officer said.

If anybody has any questions, let me know!
