Adjustment of Status - I-485

Okay so how do I begin… Husband and I had our interview a week ago (10/18/17) at Los Angeles. Everything was smooth. At the end of the interview, the officer took the original copies of our birth certificate, his divorce decree and one family picture of us with our daughter- the officer asked us to sit back on the waiting area and wait to be called again. 15-20 minutes later she called us and gave us back our originals and said “congratulations, you have been approved and should receive the green card in 3-6 weeks but usually it comes in a week and half” – we were ecstatic!!!! :)

Its been a week and one day today, but there’s no update on their website. We were not given any approval letter or stamped on the passport. No letter in the mail as well. We were only approved by VERBAL only.

We had an infopass yesterday and spoke to an IO, he wasn’t very useful and we are desperate to go home because he needs to finish few months of school or else he would go back to 0. Until another officer called him and instructed us to sit back to the waiting area. The officer called us back in but the lady IO finished our conversation and told us that she had spoke to the officer that interviewed us and that we should be good to go. We should receive my husbands green card in 7-10 days. But even if then and now, there is still no update on the website. Everything is verbal.

We even went back to the lady IO and asked if we can have an approval letter. And followed up on the website status being the same- but she kept insisting and even checked her computer that the status is now “card in production” – but again still no update on the website. :( :(

We have another infopass on Nov 6th.

WE ARE DESPERATE. WE REALLY DON’T KNOW WHAT TO DO.
It’s all up in the air on when we will actually receive the green card.
