09/20/2017- Interview Notice for 10/24/2017 @1:00 pm

We arrived 30 minutes prior to our interview time. Five minutes later we were called back. As we were entering the meeting room, he asked who the young lady was with us. I explained that even though I am fluent in English/Spanish, our lawyer said to bring an interpreter for my husband in case we get separated. The officer laughed and said "oh you wont need her but she can come in anyway". We had our 16 month daughter with us. We sat down and he took my husband picture. He started off by asking if our daughter was my husbands (our daughter has my eye color (blue) and skin tone (pale white). I laughed and said of course. He went over our forms with us, the yes no questions. He asked if I was still employed at my current job and I provided him with last two paycheck stubs.
He asked how we met, who asked who to marry and where we married. He asked if we had a big wedding, and I said no, we actually just decided one day to go get married. He asked what evidence I had to prove our marriage was real, and I handed him the following
All three leases we have had in our names
Bank Accounts Checking and Savings
Life insurance policies
Renters insurance
EZ pass account
Netflix and HULU accounts

He just glanced at them and said nicely organized. I told him he could keep them all, as they were copies.

I had an album full of pictures. He went through them and randomly asked who people were.

Finally he looked at both of us and said I am going to recommend you guys for approval and gave my husband the recommendation for approval letter.

10/26/2017- Your case has been approved for both I485 and I130.

Now we are just awaiting his GC.
