Today I got a letter from Uscis field office in New York after submitting an e request. The letter says my application for adjustment of status is still pending and I will receive a decision in approximately 120 days.

Now the part I don’t understand: I had my interview on august 29, and I was approved on the spot, the IO gave me 3 print out letters stating my approval in each one of them. A month later after not receiving my approval notice and my green card I did an infopass and my passport was stamped with the i551 green card stamp for one year, the officer that helped me that day told me that I was approved but the system had not been updated; she told me to wait a couple of days. So after 2 weeks I called the uscis customer service number and they did the service request.

So I wonder what the hell is going on at uscis? They stamp passport without people being approved because i don’t think they would do that. I have an infopass scheduled for Monday, I will take my 3 approval letters and the passport with the green card stamp.

I don’t know what to do, I’m even thinking about renewing my EAD because I don’t know when they will solve the mess they created.

Any suggestions guys?
