OCI SFO Mission experience - 43 Days Start to End - No errors
CKGS is quick, Indian consulate have time frame in between they don't respond, at least 45 days time frame you can have in mind, if you have travel and want to take risk be prepared to take TVOA (Visa on arrival) only valid for 30 days, else apply for VISA at least two weeks before, tough to contact Indian Embassy, they got their fixed time lines.

My experience, if you need to travel apply before 60 Days if you want to play the wait game 45 Days before (My case 50 days, I played this wait game, lucky this time, though I am ready with VOA), less than 45 days is right risk for sure, 45 days in general they will take to process, I have read most of the posts down this website...
