Hi there! So today I got my green card!
We had our interview on October 24th at 10:30 am
We got to the building around 9:30 and 10 minutes later the officer called my name, she said is your lawyer here? I said not yet, the officer said ok just knock the door when she get here. My lawyer got there at 10, we knocked the door and the officer opened the door, we went to her office and there were two other people (immigration employees) the officer started asking about my personal information, yes/no questions and then she started asking to my husband his name, DOB, parents name. She asked to show her extra documents that we wanted to show her..she checked them and made some copies.. then she looked at me and asked me to tell her about my marriage, where we met, how old was I when we started dating..what did my mom think about him the first time... very simple. He asked my husband about the wedding and asked about some people in the pictures. We took about 200 pictures just in case and you could see the difference because we looked way younger, we took our wedding invitation and some documents from the venue we rented for the wedding. At the end she said she was going to check our case and if she needed more proofs she would call me if not ,I'd get a letter from them in 10 days and that was it. I asked my attorney why 2 other people were there and she said it was the first time she saw that but maybe the officer was training them because all the questions she asked were very simple and to the point.
So my Interview was on Tuesday, i got a email on Thursday saying my case was approved. On Monday I got an email saying my card was mailed and I got my card today. I'm so happy, I never thought this day would come, after 8 years I can go back to my home country and we can go to our honeymoon that we have been waiting for so long.!!!
You don't have nothing to worry about if your marriage is legit! Put everything in Gods hands and he will help you.
