Hello Friends,
I had a meeting with my attorney last night and It was a lot disappointing. I was so excited about all your experiences of traveling with advance parole that I was already making plans. The attorney told me and my husband that he had a client that traveled with advance parole and was actually allowed back in the US, however when she had her interview the IO told her she needed a waiver, long story short she provided several waiver and none of them had been approved, she had to go to court and nothing, right now she is in removal proceedings. I came to the US in 2011 with a J1 Visa -NO restrictions apply- and I have overstay for 6 years. I thought that was not an issue with the Matter of Arrabaly Yerrabelly but How can you explain this lady's case.... I don't know what to think. So practically you can travel and be allowed back, but you could face a problem at the interview and asked to get a waiver to adjust you status???? have you heard something like that? any experiences??? Please need help I really want to travel so bad but I am now afraid...
