This site helped a lot in applying for my EAD. So, paying it forward and jotting down my experience in applying and getting EAD approved from Dallas Service Center below.
- Mailed following documents along with a money order for filing fees of $410 on 08/24/2017

Two photographs
Form I-765
Copy of EAD applicant’s passport. Includes L1 Visa holder’s name as spouse
Copy of EAD applicant’s L2 visa and entry stamp
Copy of EAD applicant’s I-94 of the EAD applicant
Copy of spouse’s(L1 Visa holder) I-129 S
Copy of spouse’s(L1 Visa holder) visa and entry stamp
Copy of spouse’s(L1 Visa holder) passport. Includes EAD Applicant’s name as spouse
Copy of spouse’s(L1 Visa holder) payslip
Copy of marriage certificate
- Received an email and post confirming receipt along with case #
- EAD approved on 11/09/2017
- EAD card mailed to me on 11/14/2017
Even though I had sent the G-1145, I received no e-mail notification other than the initial e-mail. All subsequent updates were available on checking My case status in uscis. Currently waiting to receive my EAD in hand. The latest update had no tracking number. Fingers crossed that it makes it to me soon!
