Chicago - Interview done. No updates on Website
Hi All,
I had my marriage based interview at Chicago office on Tuesday Nov 14.
The interview went well. standard questions - how did we meet, when and where, marriage ceremony, photos with family and friends, yes/no questions etc.
the I/O asked me why my status is single in my payslip. I told her that since I am in a same-sex marriage, I am not comfortable outing myself to my employer since it is a small consultancy company and everyone knows each other.
I do have a joint account with my partner and she asked me if I receive the DD in the joint account, I said I receive the direct deposit in a different account.
The I/O said she will make the decision by end of week.
We are traveling to my home country in Jan, the I/O said to make an infopass and get a temp GC before you leave.
Not sure what to expect. Keeping fingers crossed.
