EAD Expedite Experience
Hey everyone,

I wanted to share my EAD expedite experience so far and see if anybody has been in a similar situation. My timeline so far

- 10/31 PD (Day 1)
- 11/9 received job offer for start date 4/12 (Day 10)
- 11/20 walk in biometrics (Day 21)
- 11/21 request expedite based on financial loss and pending job offer by first calling USCIS and then speaking to my local congresswoman who submitted my supporting documents on my behalf (Day 22)
- 11/25 (Saturday) USCIS online case staus still shows “case received” but case history updated to “your expedite request has been assigned to an officer, and a response has been sent. case has been completed” (Day 26)
- 11/27 called USCIS to get some information on the “response” because I haven’t received anything. The consumer rep on the phone (tier 2) told me that my case shows that they had made a call to me and the case was now closed. I told them that I never received a phone call. The lady on the phone told me that I have to wait 5 days before requesting a follow up. So I called the congresswoman and explained what USCIS had told me, she said she would look into it. She said that she had received an update front USCIS that same morning stating that my expedite request will be under review in the next few days. (Day 28)
- 11/28 congresswoman sent me an email saying that her contact at USCIS said that my case will be routed for expedite and I will receive a decision shortly. (Day 29)

This was two days ago and I haven’t heard anything from USCIS nor has my case status updated or change. I’m pretty nervous now because I am supposed to start working next week and need my EAD approved by latest 12/7, so I’m wondering if anyone has had similar experiences and has an idea of how long it may take for USCIS to actually process my application after having approved it for expedite?

Thanks so much! And keeping my fingers crossed for everyone else here as well.
