Hi All
I had my visa interview on 27th Nov 2017 at Mumbai Consulate.
Below is how my interview went:
VO:Can i have your passport
Me:Sure.Passed the passport.
VO:Can i have your I797A
Me:Sure.Passed the I797A
VO:What is highest level of education?
Me:Answered
VO:Do work here at the employer provided in I797A?
Me:Answered
VO:Are you married?
Me:Answered
VO:We need to clean up some details in the systems might take a week or week and half to be completed.
Me:OKay.Whats the status of my VISA?
VO:Your VISA is approved but since we need to cleanup some details from the system,it might take a week.What is your return date?
Me:Answered
VO:Took a sticky note and attached to my passport and said that i will ask them to expedite.
Me:Okay..Thanks You office.
I checked with my school about my SEVIS record and they said that its all correct and upto date.
However ceac.state.gov still shows AP since 27th Nov and has not gone any changes since then.
Anyone with the same experience?
I already had to cancel my return flight and still wondering how long would it take for this to be resolved.
