Trouble finding a job with an EAD
My husband and I filed an AOS and have a PD of August 21, 2017 and our field office is Milwaukee. We received his EAD 2 weeks ago (November 22nd) and it has been an absolute nightmare for him to find a job. Every agency that he has entered has basically taken his information and he's received zero call backs. He's been told on several occasions that companies can't hire him because they work/manufacture products for the US government and need US citizens? Is that a line of BS? He holds two degrees from his home country of Colombia and numerous other certifications. The agencies can't seem to comprehend why on earth he wants an "entry level" position. Someone who comes to this country without a job will basically take any job position that is offered to them. (That's my opinion). It's beyond frustrating. Has anyone else encountered this, or is it an isolated issue on our part?
