Thank God green card in hand!!
Hi guys first of all I want to thank God for all his blessings he has provided. God is good all the time. Today 12/20/17 I received my green card!!! I feel very blessed and fortunate that my process went very quickly. Don’t feel discouraged and have faith and lots of prayers. Here is my timeline. (For my previous AP travel experience see my profile previous experience posts) I’m from Washington State, Field Office Yakima.

08/08/17 Filed for AOS through my US Citizen wife (Lawyer didn’t send my packet until last week of August)

9/8/17 USCIS received my application for AOS (Permanent Resident), my EAD renewal application and AP application

9/24/17 received BIO appointment letter (the appointment was schedule for October but I decided to go next day. My lawyer said people are allowed to go before scheduled appointment date)

9/25/17 I went for BIO everything was successful

11/2/17 received notice for interview scheduled on 12/8/17

Received Combo AP/EAD Card 12/5/17

Interview with IO 12/8/17 Yakima WA field office was approved on spot. It took about 40 mins with officer. Swore us in both my wife and I. Took my photo and both index fingerprints. Then asked simple questions like what our full names were, DOB, our address, how we met and where, when did we get married and where. Then the officer asked Yes or no Questions from the application. Handed over some documentation to prove we were still married and living together, like bank statement, letter from landlord. The officer already had all my other evidence from my application I submitted ( this was our marriage certificate, bank statements, lease agreement, photos dated from 2008 through 2017, tax returns with both our names, copy of passports and birth certificates) She was a very nice officer, we made some small talk and jokes and then afterwards she said she didn’t find any reason not to approve me and that I should be getting my green card in a few weeks (approved on the spot) She then gave me information about my new status of a permanent resident and what to expect and also how I need to file to remove my conditional part from the green card (since we only have been married for less then 2 years) and steps to how to become a Citizen. My wife and I were super happy and did a little celebration dance in the lobby afterwards which the officer and my lawyer approved and laughed about it :)

December 15, 2017 received approval notice of permanent residence application

December 20, 2017 i received my Permanent Resident Card thanks to Jesus Christ all mighty.

I felt like my whole process went really fast especially since I was told from my lawyer that to expect my case to be solved and have green card between 6-8 months! So I was expecting my green card around late April or May 2018 but got it sooner! I feel very fortunate and blessed! I can file for citizenship in 2 years and 9 months which I will be doing! FYI the whole time of this process my online tracker never changed! It always kept saying and still says “on September 8th 2017 we received your applications” so don’t feel discouraged people about the online status not changing. Hope the best for all and god bless all!
