EAD Card
It was insightful to read all these posts while waiting for the EAD card. To return the favor, here is my timeline:
Application based on pending I485 (I765 C09)
PD date 09/08/2017
Opened the first service request on the 75th day then 2 Expedite service requests based on a Job offer after 90 days and contacted a Congreman and ombusdman when the waiting started to become unbearable.
EAD card approved on the 13/12, notification received on the 18th of December and EAD card received today.
Applied today for the Social and the first officer told me that it is not possible to apply for the SS Card today and I have to wait like 15 days after receipt of the EAD card. I was like WTF, then decided to return a bit later and was taken car of by another officer who completed the application with no problem.
