Still haven’t gotten green card !
Hey, it has been over a year and I have still not received my green card. My priority date September 30,2016, i had my interview February 5th 2017 , got my EAD biometrics etc. At the interview the lady said they have to run a background check on me before approval. I said but isn’t that what I did with the biometrics she said this one will be more extensive. I believed it’s the name check the FBI does. It’s been 10 mons since the interview and every time I called they still have no update from the FBI on my background check! Apparently the FBI doesn’t give time frames... I recently contacted my ombudsman so waiting to see what happens but has this happened to anyone ? Is there anymore I can do to get my process moved along? Should I sue?
