Anyone applying for AOS in TX on the border of Mexico?
Hi fellow filers. I am wondering if there is anyone who shares a similar situation as mine...

PD Date: 10/26/2017
Biometrics: 11/31/2017

My AOS is from H1B due to marriage with USC. I worked in Michigan but moved to El Paso, TX where my husband works.

PROBLEM is that Because of the boarder patrol check points on major highways, I am advised not to travel out of city limit of El Paso... I thought I could fly domestically but El Paso airport has border patrol agents trolling checking foreigners passports. If I am questioned now, I am out of status so technically they could deport me.

Also, all my case numbers are shown as "Validation error" on USCIS website so I have no idea how the processing is actually going.

My lawyer friend told me that it will probably take over a year for me to get a green card, which I am okay with.

BUT when will I get EAD/AP?? My lawyer said it will take about 6 months... I really hope I will get it sooner.

I hope there are people who can share similar experiences! Thanks in advance!
