Visa approved at Toronto Consulate on 12/22/2017 but not yet issued!
Hi guys!
I had my visa interview at US consulate in Toronto on December, 22nd 2017.
Was told then that the visa was approved and that I will receive my passport in 1-2 weeks.
It has now been 8 working days since the interview and the online case status is still Administrative Processing (last updated on December 22nd).
I am not sure if this is related to a technical issue with printing the visa (as some have reported on this forum); manpower delays caused by the holidays; or genuine need for additional screening that was not mentioned at the time of the interview?
Emailed the Consulate on January, 4th- no reply yet.
I would very much appreciate your thoughts!
