EAD/AP Approved - Passport with Maiden Name
Hi all. My EAD/AP was approved today and it's on its way to me!
Has anyone traveled out of country and re-entered with a passport with the maiden name - different last name from your EAD/AP? I have a valid DL with my husband's last name and Social Security Card. I plan to travel with a copy of my marriage certificate as well DL.
I plan to visit my family in Japan as soon as I receive the card, but I am wondering if IO will give me a trouble for having a passport with my maiden name.
The Consulate told me that if I wanted to change my name on the passport, the passport number will change as well. I don't think that is a good idea while my I-485 is still pending...
