Newark NJ interview experience
I had the interview today.
PD Feb 14th
Interview Jan 9th

Interview was scheduled at 7.15am, we got called in at 8am.
He took a picture of me, finger prints, oath.
He asked if we know why we are here today.
He asked for my old and new passport, his passport and our DLs.
He said the interview will consist of two parts- first he will ask most of the questions To my USC husband( about our relationship ) and then he will ask me about things from the application.
Questions to my USC husband:
- How did you meet? When?
- where did u go on your first date
- when did u decide that you want to get married
- who proposed to whom? When? Where?
- where did your spouse live when u met? With whom?
- does she have a vehicle? What kind?
- how much is our rent? How do you pay It?
- name of the landlord, where does he live?
- what does she do for work? Where is her job?
- name her employer
- How does she get to work?
- does she have siblings? How many?
- Did u talk to them? ( we went to visit my country together)
- show them in picture, show your in laws
- do they speak English?
- when did u get married? Where?
- who were your witnesses, why only witnesses from her side
- name and show people at the reception, where was it held (he asked that couple of times as well as about our adress
- where did u go together outside tristate area?

To me:
- where did he live when u met? With whom?
- does he have a vehicle?
- where did he work when u met, where does he work now
- who is his employer, where
- what kind of job do you do?
- yes/no questions from the application
- How many times you entered USA?

To both- do we have joint accounts he can see?
He looked at savings, checking accounts, credit card statements.
He didn't want anything else we prepared. He did some scans of the pictures and documents.
He said he can give me a standard paper that will say "it will be held for review" if I want it, but it's just a thing they hand out. If not, uhe will explain me what happens next. I said I don't need it .
Then he said - I don't see anything that will prevent you from getting green card.
This interview just proved it. There is nothing in your background check that is suspicious, nor in the application that I went through before the interview.
So as a standard procedure I will have to go through this stuff again to make sure everything is ok and then in 15,20min I will press "submit" button and send it for approval. What happens next is not up to me bc we don't produce cards here, but in general you should receive your green card in 3 weeks.
Then he explained about removing conditions after 2 years and ask if we have any questions and walked us out.
The interview lasted for 40min.
So now I'm waiting to see it in the mail and then I can celebrate:))

My online status never changed. It is stuck on " ready to be scheduled for the interview.

I have been here without papers for about 8,5 years. No questions about my job then.
Good luck to you all!
