My Pending Asylum married US Citizen interview experience
So I applied for asylum in 2015 still no interview or asylum. Married US citizen and filed in april 2017. I got interview Jan 8th 2018.
Interview experience .
IO call us and escort to his office. He sworned us and took my finger print and pic. Then we sat down. As I was sitting I saw on his table a big thick folder, that was when I realized it's not going to be an easy interview. The thick folder was my asylum file and marriage file. Ohhh boy my heart starts pumping fast because I was wasn't that much prepared for the asylum thing. He starts asking about the marriage questions, everything went great until he start the asylum thing.I answered truthfully and when I don't remember I said I dont. But I read my asylum file the day before so I still got most of the dates right. Oh boy..it wasn't easy. At the end he said he can't make a decision now and he will mail me the decision. Today I checked my status(2 days later) and it says new card produced...can't believe it lol...

My advice if you have pending asylum and married us citizen please get at least little prepared because you might be surprised they have your asylum file or they have some information about it. Also don't expect to get a decision on the spot..
