interview at Des Moines, Iowa
I did the interview at 8:50 AM on 01/17/18 and I passed it! As I have benefited a lot from this website, I would like to share with all of you my experience.

My timeline:
03/15/2017: received Form N-400
03/20/2017: scheduled for a fingerprint appointment
04/10/2017: started the interview scheduling process
12/05/2017: inforpass at 9:15 AM
12/05/2017: at 2:00 PM, received both a text message and an email telling me "Interview Was Scheduled"
01/17/2018: 8:50 AM

I studied the 100 questions for a couple of days by listening to the disk, reading the booklet, and watching videos on internet. I was very serious not because I think the questions can be hard but because I cannot afford a failure, thinking of a so long waiting time to get the interview. I got up in early morning, felt a bit nervous. On the way, a bit of traffic jam made me even more nervous, and got some trouble to find a parking space, but I arrived just a few minutes before the appointment.

At 9:10 an officer called my name. He looked friendly, but still serious and professional. He took my photo and collected my finger prints. I brought as many as possible documents (of about one pound), but he only asked for my green card. He started to go over my N400 and concluded that my application all looks good. Then we started the civic test.

Reading: Who lives in the White House?
Wring: The president lives in the White House.
Short answer questions:
(At this moment, I became quite nervous and used fingers to count how many I have answered correctly.)
What movement tried to end racial discrimination?
What did Martin Luther King, Jr. do?
Who is the Governor of your state now?
Who was the first President?
Name two national U.S. holidays.
Where is the Statue of Liberty?
He stopped when I correctly answered all these first six questions.

He concluded that he will recommend passing me, and he congratulated me. He told me that the Oath ceremony will be scheduled in several weeks. When I asked for the possibility of getting a sooner schedule for Oath ceremony, he became a bit impatient and I stopped. I shakes his hands to thank him and left his room.
