My GC is received
Hi friends,

I received my 2 years GC today and am so happy to be able to finalize this trip. I think I was lucky cause even my PD was May 1st, 2017, we had our interview in January 11th, 2018 eventhough I received an initial request for my I-485 petition and time had started to countdown from the beginning after I sent the requested form in July 27th, 2017.

Anyway I am so happy to get my GC and wish luck of you who are on line in this journey.

I also want to ask you one thing which I am confused. Just 2 days before I receive my GC, I also received 2 separate approval letters from USCIS for our forms I-130 and I-485.

As I have been reading this forum almost a year, I was expecting to get these approvals before the physical GC and the approval of I-485 informs about the approval of the petition and says that we should receive the GC in the next 3 weeks. That's ok and what we expected however the approval letter of I-130 also indicates such a sentence like below.

" The above petition has been approved. The petition indicates that the beneficiary is in the united states and wishes to apply for adjustment of status to that of a lawful permanent resident. He or she should submit a copy of this notice, along with a Form I-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjsut Status. He or she can obtain Form I-485 from the USCIS website at www.uscis.gov, by contacting the USCIS National Customer Service Center at xxxxx or by visiting the local USCIS field office. Filling address can be found on the USCIS website at xxxxxx.

So can some one tell me what " he or she should submit a copy of this notice " means please? I was thinking it is the end of these paper work when we get our GC till it needs to 10 years extension.

I really appreciate if anyone has an experience in that point.

Thank you friends and wish you good luck and patience.
