Disappointing experience
My wife applied for OCI card in Sept 2017. The application was received on Sept 14, 2017. The passport was sent back on Sept 18, 2017. Since then no updates. We have been calling and emailing CKGS, Chicago consulate but no response, "just keep checking." We have our India trip planned in early part of Feb 2018. I am extremely disappointed as it is more than 4 months. They should stop false advertisement on their website saying 60 days for the whole process.
Now, my wife is applying for the Indian visa just in case, as I have lost faith. I thought things changed with the Modi govt but I guess I was wrong.
