File for OPT while waiting for i486 EAD c9
Hi,
Does anyone know if it's okay to file OPT while waiting for EAD based on i485 (c9)?
Specifically,
1. Does asking the school to issue a new I-20 for OPT have a negative impact on your i485 based EAD (since the i-20 issued for OPT is not included with the package sent for EAD based i485)
2. Will this possibly give a nudge to the time it takes to get your EAD based on i485 or no effect at all?
3. Does filing i765 based on OPT while waiting for your i765 previously filed with i485 have any negative impact at all? Has anyone done that? I can't find a concrete answer other than "your opt will likely be rejected..."
