Timelines & Interview Experience
Hi all,
I've spent an unhealthy amount of time on this forum, quietly lurking in the shadows. The info on here has been very helpful, thanks to all who contribute.
AOS through marriage.
Concurrently filed i130, i131, i485, i765, i693 and all the other supplemental forms. I read the instructions to each form carefully and provided all they asked for.

Our appointment was at 11:30 AM, we got there 15 mins early. We were the last to get called in our time slot, we waited for over an hour before we got called in.
The interviewer was very rude and hostile but I guess he was doing his job, he did not even say hello. I don't know if he was deliberately trying to intimidate us or not.
He swore us in, he explained the reason and purpose for the interview, told us to take a sit and the horror began.
He asked us both a few questions then we got separated, about 10 mins into the interview. He asked my wife to step out. My part of the interview lasted over an hour. The interviewer was very serious from the get-go, I honestly felt like I was being interrogated as opposed to being interviewed, you could cut the tension in the room with a knife.
He wanted to know every detail, he'd ask very specific questions, i.e what did your wife get you for Christmas?
Me: a bottle of wine.
Him: what type of wine? What brand? Screw or corked? Did she have some of your wine? What else did she get you?
He wanted exact dates, times and so on. I wasn't prepared for that part, I told him I couldn't recall a few times because I honestly couldn't remember certain things. I answered all the questions to the best of my knowledge. After grilling me with questions for 45 mins straight, he then proceeded with the yes and no questions.
He loosened up towards the very end though, to his credit. I was definitely nervous when we got separated at first but I adjusted pretty quickly and was back to normal. He told me to step out and called my wife in. Her part lasted for about 20 mins.
He came to get me outside in the waiting area. He said "I want to take another look at your case one more time before deciding but I have everything I need to make a decision. Do you have any questions"
We said no, thank you then he showed us out.
This was a very unpleasant experience for me and my wife but hopefully, it won't be for you guys. I wish you all the best like some of the cases I've read on here. It all worked out in the end for us as we were approved. I hope this helps someone out.
Good luck to you all.
