N-400 Timeline NEW YORK
I would like to share my timeline for New York, as my journey for N-400 process is almost over.

7/3/17 - Sent N-400 application via USPS Priority Mail with signature confirmation to Dallas, TX service center.

7/7/17 - Priority Date.

7/17/17 - Received a Notice of Action letter.

7/21/17 - Received a biometrics appointment letter.

8/2/17 - Biometrics completed (picked up a civic test booklet at ASC).

8/22/17 - On-line status changed to "Case is in line for an interview".

12/12/17 - On-line status changed to "Interview was scheduled".

12/16/17 - Interview letter with date, time, and location received.

1/19/17 - Interview done. Passed the interview and IO recommended for approval however, decision cannot yet be made and needs supervisor's review and approval.

1/24/17 - On-line status changed "Case under supervisor's review completed".

1/29/17 - On-line status changed "Oath ceremony was scheduled" and USCIS sent out a mail.

Interview went well. IO was a bit intimidating with no face expression whatsoever.
Answered the first 6 questions perfectly and 1 written test.

Q1: Name the war that U.S was in during 1900s.
Ans: World War II

Q2: How many voting members in the House?
Ans: 435

Q3: Who is the chief justice of Supreme Court?
Ans: John G. Roberts

Q4: In what month do we vote for president?
Ans: November

Q5: For how many years do we elect for House of Representatives?
Ans: 2 years

Q6: Who is the father of our country?
Ans: George Washington

Write down "Washington was the first president".

At the end of interview, IO smiled once for the first time during the 20 minute interview and said I did a great job and she would recommend me for an approval. However, she said she cannot make the decision today that her supervisor's needs to review for a final decision and it would take up to 120 days - which was extremely disappointing...BIG *SIGH*
After 5 days later, my on-line status changed to "Case under supervisor's review completed" and in another 4 days, my on-line status changed to "Oath ceremony was scheduled" and USCIS sent out a mail with time/date/location of my oath ceremony!

I'm glad that my N-400 journey is almost over. It's been a long wait. Just have to be patient and wait.
