Seattle Green Card Approved
Hello all,

Our journey is just about at an end so I wanted to share our story as the experiences here have been incredibly helpful for us throughout this process.

PD: Feb 24th 2017
EAD: May 8th 2017
Interview notice received: January 17th 2018
Interview: Feb 1st 2018
I-485 Approved: Feb 1st 2018

Had our interview at 8:15am, went to the Seattle office and checked in and waited until about 9am to be called in. Had an extremely friendly immigration officer (who somehow I've misplaced the name of) ask us the normal questions (dates, how we met, when we got engaged, when was the wedding), but really was just more of a chat than an interview. We brought a ludicrous amount of paperwork and evidence (all she looked at was our ID's, passports, my EAD card, bank statement, apartment lease, few cards and photos, and some gift receipts), and she returned everything except for the bank document and apartment lease agreement. Approved us on the spot, and we were out in maybe 45 minutes (this long as my wife and I "disagreed" over some small details that the IO seemed to find hilarious).

The only advice I can really give after all of this is, stay positive, be calm, and if everything is legitimate in your marriage - there's nothing to worry about. We were massively over prepared, but I think that's generally for the best as it gives peace of mind. Everything will come, but I know how awful it is to be waiting on decisions and documents. They will come, but in the meantime - don't fixate on it. Try and get on with life and stay happy.

Just under a year from the day we mailed it all in though, we're done and waiting for the Green Card to come in the mail!

Will update when the card comes so you all have a rough idea of time lines, but thank you everyone who's answered my questions along the way!
