I-485 pending for over a year
I have been reading the posts here for a while now and nobody seems to go through I am going through.
I have filed for I-485 and I-130 back in May 2016, had our interview on September 2016. All went really well but they have not made a decision on my case ever since.. I went to 7 InfoPass, 3 Service requests, reached out to the Congresswoman... still the same answer, my case is pending (for no reason).
Before my I-765 expired I applied for a renewal. 6 months later still nothing.. I couldn't renew my drivers license because of it. I am driving with a DL from back home along with an international DL. I made several phone calls, talked to level 2 agents. No one is able to help.
It's like a really bad dream.
Right when I was thinking to file for mandamus, I receive a notice of approval for I-130 (on January 8, 2018). Also it looks like they are sending me the EAD card. (at least that's what it said online)
I wonder what's next..
One of the biggest disappointments of my life since I see everyone being approved left and right after just days or weeks from interview and me... years or waiting for no reason.
