What's Next?
Hi,

Thank you everyone for sharing your experience. Reading this website really helped me take so many different approaches on how to speed up my EAD process.

Here's my timeline:

11/9/17 - Submitted I-485, I-360 (For SIJ case), and I-765 - Filed from NYC
11/15/17 - Received by the USCIS (Lockbox in Chicago) - Processing at NBC
12/20/17 - Biometrics done

As of now, I'm still waiting. I'm really desperate because I need to start working. I know it will take a while for my GC to be processed but at least I want to have my EAD in hand so I wouldn't be in such a financial hardship.

So here's what I did as soon as the 75th day passed:

- 1/21/2018, Raised my first SR online
- 1/22/2018, Contacted the Congresswoman
- 1/23/2018, Contacted the Senator

- Heard back from the Congresswoman 2 days after. The Congresswoman's Office informed me that I need to get a letter from my employer stating that I have a job offer.
- Heard back from the Senator's Office 7 days later.
- Contacted my manager, and got my letter on 1/30/2018

- 1/31/2018, Sent the letter, and copies of receipts and notices from USCIS to the Congresswoman's Office. They sent the expedite request to the USCIS on the same day. I was told to wait 30 days.

- 2/2/2018, Sent the letter, a privacy release act form, and copies of receipts and notices from USCIS to the Senator's Office. The Senator's Office said they can't give a "definite time-frame," but will let me know if there's any update.

- 2/3/2018, Contacted the Ombudsman and sent copies of documents to the office.

- 2/5/2018, Tried to schedule an appointment on INFOPASS, and luckily I got an appointment on February 6th, the day after.

- 2/6/2018, Went to my appointment at USCIS Customer Service Unit in NYC in the morning. It wasn't really helpful. The staff said they have no control over these cases. Still, I asked for a letter from the Customer Service Unit to prove that I showed up to my appointment.

- 2/6/2018, The Ombudsman's Office replied "The Ombudsman's Office has reviewed your request for case assistance and contacted U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) regarding your application. We will notify you when we receive information from USCIS."

- 1/9/2018, Tried to raise a second SR online, but I couldn't because I still have to wait until the NBC respond to my first SR (which I doubt they even saw it).

- 1/9/2018, Called the USCIS Customer Service to raise an SR, but I was suggested by the representative that it would be a better idea to write a letter and send copies of my documents to them directly, and I did on the same day. The letter basically explains that I'm in an emergency situation and that my guardian and I are suffering a severe financial loss, and that I also have a job offer.

- 1/12/2018, today, called the Ombudsman's Office to ask about my case, and I was informed that the USCIS is still reviewing my request for case assistance.
-------------------

Honestly at this point I'm so sick and tired of how things are turning out. I've been doing everything in my power to ask for expedited process for my EAD. I'm really drowned in depression, and I'm really ashamed of myself. I feel purposeless, and I really don't know what to do at this point.

Can anyone suggest what I should do next? If anyone has similar experience (especially those who are SIJs), could you please share it with me?

I'm tried, but I'M NOT GIVING UP.
