Need help - H1b extension stamping - Delhi Consulate April
Hello, I am traveling to India after 5 years to get my h1b extension stamping.
I have been in the USA for 17 years and on H1b since 2005.
I have previously traveled to India (3 times), and Mexico 2 times for the previous stampings.
I am a bit concerned seeing all the posts about 221g slips and people being stuck for over 100 days.
I have booked my India ticket for 7 April have have scheduled the appointments for Biometrics for 9th April and OFC 10th April.
My previous visa stamp has expired in 2016 from the previous employer, and in 2017 Jan i joined another company. I work for a very large reputable company and the end client is a federal govt. agency. MY role is of a PM and i also have a letter from the federal govt. client on their letter head stating my roles and responsibilities.
My questions - has anyone faced issues in this situation? my new h1b approval is till feb 2021, and since i have not traveled for so long, i wanted to get the stamping done, but i am getting concerned that most everyone has had 221g admin processing cases.
I have all the paperwork needed (i129, h1b original, paystubs, end client letter, employer documents - offer letter, another letter with job and duties, resume, US College degree, past employer letters, all h1b petitions till dates, tax returns from all previous years). I have booked the tickets for India from April 7 - May 1. I would like to understand should i be worried or change my plans to not get the stamping?
please help
thanks,
Neha
