Lost EAD and AP - PD 08/17 - Chicago Field Office
Good Morning everyone, i hope everyone is well!

I filed adjustment of status for my wife last year (2017) in august who was here on a visitor visa. We married Jan of 2017 in india and she stayed back to finish up her master’s in computer engineering. At the time of filing the AOS, she already had an I-130 pending and shortly after her arrival to the us on visitor visa, her I-130 was sent to NVC for further processing. I called USCIS to discuss how I should proceed and was told to make NVC aware of pending AOS and that USCIS will now handle her case.
Dec 20th, I received a notice of approval for her EAD and AP, however no actual card has been received to date. I waited about a week and called USCIS and was told I must allow 30 days for the card to be produced and sent to us. A month goes by and I call them again, asked to speak to 2nd tier officer who went on to tell me that my I-765 is still pending and that they are still inducting background check. What bullshit. Service request raised and told to wait another 30 days. Now yesterday, after receiving no follow up to my service request, I called them again and asked to speak to the 2nd tier who went on to tell me my card was delivered on Dec 21st and provided me the USPS tracking number which mentioned the same. I then called USPS and was told to wait 24-48 while they further investigate the issue.
I called USCIS again to see what my options are in case if it’s lost. I was told to obtain a piece of letter from USPS mentioned that the mail was indeed lost and submit it along with another application for I-765.
She has been staying at home since her arrival to the US and her only concern is that she wants to be able to go to college and continue her studies. With all these setbacks and disappointments from USICS, we sometimes think, had she stayed back in india few months longer, it would have been much quicker and lot more efficient with NVC.
I have no doubt that USPS won’t be much of a help either in this particular case and that we would certainly have to end up filing another I-769 and AP altogether. My question is if there is anyway, I can have them expedite the process this time around, given that our previous application turned out to be a dead end? If so, what do I need to do in order to have it expedited?

All suggestions are welcome, and I appreciate all of you taking some time to read my lengthy post.
