Hello,
My husband’s green card has finally been approved! On February 28th status changed to card ordered, and on March 2nd, card was mailed. Here is our time line :
Case filed: January 17,2017
Biometrics, February 24,2017
Interview: April 20,2017
2 e requests, and 3 inquiries through congress office. My husband had a pending asylum case. It took 9 months for USCIS to receive a copy of his asylum file to review.
January 10,2018 we were told USCIS received his asylum case.
January 28th, we received RFE for expired medical
RFE received by USCIS on February 9th, 2018
I made an inquiry with the congress office to make sure uscis received the RFE because the online status never changed to RFE mailed or received. So I got worried.
February 27th, congressman sent me an email saying USCIS has in fact received the medical exam and will let me know if they need anything
February 28th, card ordered, March 2 card mailed. Now waiting for it to arrive in the mail. Our case took a year and a month due to the asylum file. Keep your faith you will get approved. I stressed a lot now that I have it I wish I didn’t spend so much time worried and depressed.
A quick question for those who waited more than a year to get their conditional cards. Was it dated from the day you interviewed or the day you got approved?
