L2 EAD Renewal - December 5th,2017 VSC
Hello All,
I had applied for my L2 EAD renewal on Dec 5th,20187 at Vermont center. So here my timeline -
The most recent actions taken so far -
Day 77th : 02/20/2018 - Raised Service Request with USCIS
Day 78th : 02/21/2018 - Status was "your inquiry about the status of your Employment Authorization application was assigned to an officer for response.".
Day 79th : 02/22/2018 - Again the same status updated as "your inquiry about the status of your Employment Authorization application was assigned to an officer for response."
Day 79th : 02/23/2018 - Reply from Ombudsman's office that they have reviewed my case and contacted USCIS regarding my application.
Day 83rd : 02/26/2018 - Response was mailed(which I didn't receive yet) and SR was completed.
Day 90th : 03/05/2018 - My Case status changed to "New Card is being produced" :)
I tried every possible thing in order to get my EAD at the earliest.I tried raising expedite request,reached Congressman,Ombudsman's office and called USCIS T2 Officers almost twice in every week. Out of which, I guess, Ombudsman's request made some difference in my case(I am not sure though as I did not receive any response from Ombudsman's office yet!). Overall this whole process was so frustrating! Calling USCIS representatives almost never worked for me ! Based on their current processing time, I was expecting my Card in April. But today I am so happy that it got changed on 90th day itself :) Hopefully, I will receive my card till next week..
