Question
Anybody here who files June 2017? Just wanted to ask if they have heard anything from USCIS about their application? And also can an immigration lawyer do anything to help expedite this case?

My timeline:

Case Received: June 19, 2017
Biometrics: Aug 3, 2017
**NO MAIL or COMMUNICATION for any missing information, officers over the phone and in field office said my papers are complete**

1st Inquiry: Nov 10, 2017 (was told to wait 30days for response)
2nd Inquiry: Dec 15, 2017 (same day recieved an email about 1st ref was received stating my case is with an officer for a decision)
3rd Inquiry: Jan 5, 2018 (trasferred to officer 2, saying we cannot ger info as papers are with an officer in their desk)
4th Inquiry and expedite Jan 18, 2018 (was told that we can request for expedite so we did and told to go to field office to see if they can help)
Infopass appointment Jan 23, 2018 (was told they lack manpower in NBC thats why papers are taking long and to wait again as papers are with an officer, and expediting over the phone is not a valid process as we need to "qualify" to get papers expedited, the officer we spoke with said to write a letter stating why we qualify for expedite and send letter and proof to NBC) then the NBC processing timeline is at June 30, 2017

Checked again after a week or so NBC timeline jumped to Sept 1, 2017.
Called USCIS again to inquire was told we need to file another ref to get info i refused as i felt like it getting longer and longer as i file ref. (I already have 2 ref was given a uniform email saying my papers are with an officer for a decision)

Contacted ombudsman and local congressman so far their offices are waiting for response as well from USCIS... this is a very depressing process... seeing the processing timeline now to NBC is Oct 1, 2017 its just frustrating
