Hi All,
I am married to an American citizen.
Oct 24, 2016 applied for I-485, I-130
Nov 1, 2016 USCIS receipt
Got an RFE mid Nov 2016 and responded in 2 days and got a receipt in a week
Received EAD on Feb 25, 2017
Applied for a new EAD on Oct 17, 2017 (4 months before EAD expiration based on my attorney's suggestion)
Previous EAD expired on Jan 25, 2018
Case is ready to be scheduled since December 2016
I am applying from Houston. I have made several calls to USCIS, contacted a congressman, talked to a tier 2 officer but all I am told is that it is a waiting game. My 6 months EAD extension will expire in July 2018. I barely have 4 months until the expiration. Tier 2 officer told me to stay on top of it since it would be really difficult if my case is not resolved by July 2018. I do not even know what that means. I was told all my records are fine and I just need to wait. My case has not even been sent to Houston office from MSC. Anyone out there waiting this long? Any suggestions? Thanks.
