H1/H4 USA Stamping in Vancouver, Canada.
I am an Indian citizen and this was my first experience of H1/H4 US visa stamping in the country other than India . I am in my 10th year of H1 and having I-140 approved .
03/11 :- Arrived in Vancouver from 'San Jose , CA ' with my wife and son .
03/12 :- Just roam around the city .
03/13 :- Interview at 8:45 AM .
Arrived at consulate with my wife and US born son at 8 AM .
Emphasizing on US Born Son because many of ppl had ask this question whether they could bring their US born child in consulate . There is no issue in bringing your US/Canada born minor to consulate .
Question asked (by lady):-
Interviewer:- Please give me your passports .
Me:- Gave her two passports of mine and spouse.
Interviewer:- What is your role at Symantec (my company) .
Me:- I am senior software engineer there .
Interviewer:- What do you do there .
Me:- I am BigData and Cloud Solution engineer .
Interviewer:- Searched something in her computer for 2 min .
Interviewer:- Your visa is approved and you will get your passport and I797 back in 3-5 days and handed me Green paper with general instructions.
Me:- Thank you .
03/14 :- Status of application is changed with tracking number at 11:30 AM .
03/15 :- Status of tracking number changed to package received . Went there at 11 AM and collected my passport and I797 package .
03/16 :- Fly back to USA .
