120 days for decision/Update EAD and AP
Hi there,
We had an interview yesterday 3/20/18 in Manhattan. It went extremely well - the officer was very nice and we answered all the questions. Surprisingly enough we didn't get the decision right away. Officer told us to wait 120 days, which i'm totally fine with because our marriage is real and all the docs should be fine (as far as i know) otherwise they would have told us, correct? I mean if they need to do more research or do more background checks they should do whatever they have to - it's their job. We are not really worried about the wait time because we already waited 11 months for the interview haha (welcome to NYC).
So my EAD/AP expires in June. Should I apply for a renewal now (3 months left till June)? Also, should I be paying for it again? It's technically not my fault to be completely honest and I kind of feel that I shouldn't be paying. But if that's the only solution for me to keep working and travelling I'd obviously pay. Also what's the probability that I'll get a decision within next 3 months on my green card? I'm not in the mood of gambling on my work permit but if it's highly likely i'd rather wait for a GC to come than paying for a new EAD/AP or maybe not...
Also, can somebody please refresh me on the time periods after which I can start inquiring USCIS about my case?
