Should I go for Visa re-stamping?
Friends - Need your advise. Here is my situation:

- I797 approved through 2020
- I94 date on passport Feb 2019
- However, original H1B visa stamp expiry date on passport: Aug 2018

I am planning to visit India for 2 weeks in Jun 2018. Given such a long processing times, would you recommend going for re-stamping?I will be eligible for drop box. My visa stamp does not expire until Aug and I will be back by June mid, so what would you recommend? Should I skip it this time? I am scared that I will get stuck there for multiple weeks (I am working on a few high profile client engagements). My company is also planning to file I-140 very soon, so might get green card anyways in 12-15 months, so I can afford to delay my next trip a bit. Do you see any challenges? Let me know what you think.

Background: IIT, Consultant, working for the same company for the last 7 years. $160K base.

Thanks everyone in advance. Appreciate all your thoughts.
