i130 i 485 i864 - attorney is confusing!
So I mailed the forms TODAY! I wish I found this before. We got married in December and I feel like we have wasted 3 months already, should have mailed them earlier.
Anyways...
So our attorney told us that we SHOULD NOT mail form i765 with i485. I think she was wrong after reading your comments. Seems like everybody applied for EAD. I think I can mail it now, separately. I can't work and it's very frustrating. Seems like you get the EAD after around 3 months, and also I assume you can travel outside the US once you have the EAD. We have a family wedding in Canada in December and we would really love to go. Do you think I will be able to go?
Should I apply for i765? How long do you think it will take me? Can I apply for work after I receive the i797c (the receipt).
Please help! I'm also having problems with insurance because I need to do check ups with a gynecologist and a dentist and I don't have any type of insurance. Seems like my husband makes ''too much'' money for us to apply for Medicaid or anything like that. Please note they calculate this BEFORE taxes. It really sucks!
