Hi! I have a question and would really appreciate any input.
I came here with F1 visa, which I overstayed, married a USC, waiting for my interview right now. The thing is that I applied to schools (I've been waiting for soo long to be able to continue my education and was sure that I would have the GC before the Fall semester started but still nothing... The deadline to submit proof of residency for FAFSA is May 1. Which is fine, even if I don't get FAFSA help, I just want to be able to go to school, even if I have to fully pay for it myself, as long as it's not international student fees x_x.
So I'm wondering if there's any way the school that I'll get into (admission decisions are going to be available at the end of April) will let me attend since I don't have the GC yet? And I can't really go back to F1 status at this point. I'm just so worried that I'll have to wait out another semester or two if I can't provide the GC before a certain deadline for Fall '18.
My filing date is 07/22/2017 (btw, what is the difference between filing date and PD (priority date)?
Biometrics done in October, got my EAD in the beginning of November.
Since then, no update or notice.
