NYC july applicant with no EAD or GC yet
Hello all,
First I would like to thank you all for posting your experiences, it helped me A LOT and still is.
I applied for my GC based on marriage on July 6th 2017. I have not received my EAD card yet, not to mention my GC. Here is my timeline:
PD: JULY 14TH 2017
Biometric appointment August 2017
August 25th 2017 Case is ready to be scheduled for an interview
EAD: mailed on October 6th
EAD: October 20th still no card in the mail, called USCIS and they never sent me a tracking number but when they finally gave it to me it says EAD delivered on October 11th. Went to USPS office and they couldnt find the card, told me to give them few weeks to further investigate.
EAD: November 1st 2017 after my 10th visit to USPS office in Forest Hills they finally admitted they lost the card (or it got stolen) but they cannot write me a letter stating they admit it.
After talking to USCIS they told me I need to re-apply for a new EAD card and pay again. Since it wasnt their fault.
November 3rd I re-applied.
November 14th status changed USCIS received my form I-765. Nothing has changed yet. 147 days (or 9 months since my original application) and no EAD card yet.
March 3rd: first SR raised
March 30th: went to the office of congresswoman and they said they will reach out to USCIS and let me know if able to assist me. Still nothing from them neither.
This is so frustrating, I dont know anyone who had the same experience, Im not working for a long, long time both me and my husband are getting desperate and fighting over it all the time. Can anyone give me an advice, what to do??
