Jan-2-2018 : Sent documents via USPS Certified Mail. Cost 4.96$. Ensure you opt for certified mail so that you can track it. I used money order of 410$. Preferably use check so that you immediately know when check is realized.
Jan-5-2018 : Received by lockbox. you can find this by tracking the documents.
Jan-10-2018 : Received email stating case accepted and the receipt number and forwarded to Vermont.

Absolutely no update until 75 days post case receipt.

March-26-2018 : Raised first service request for no update on my case.
Mar-28-2018 : Received standard response "We are still reviewing case and no updates at this time"
Mar-30-2018 : Status changed to "we are producing your card..."
Apr-3-2018 : Case approved
Apr-3-201 : We mailed your card and USPS will deliver it.
Apr-7-2018 : Card received.

Received card in about 90 days

Note:
1. I had sent an affidavit which mentioned the full form of my initials. My marraige certificate had iniitals whereas my passport had expanded form.
2. As expected, there was no biometric appointment as application was sent via mail.
3. Use myaccount.uscis.dhs.gov to track the status by creating an account. The usual case satus link updates after a 2-3 days delay. Former had status card being produced while the later still said case received.
4. Had sent documents to USCIS Dallas Lockbox(P.O. Box 660867,Dallas, TX 75266) but was delivered to different zip( DALLAS, TX 75260). No need to panic.
5. Had sent following docs in below order:
Cover letter
Money order 410$
2 photos (self..US format)
I765
G-1145
Visa copy of (mine)L2 applicant
I 94 copy of L2 applicant
Passport copy of L2 applicatn
Marraige certificate
Form I797B of L1 visa holder
visa copy of L1 visa holder
I 94 copy of L1 visa holder
Passport copy of L1 visa holder
