After 185 days, 2 SRs, InfoPass and two follow-ups from the Ombudsman finally received the EAD approval notice in the mail, currently waiting for the card itself. For everyone with long EAD waiting times, I recommend contacting the Ombudsman - my EAD was approved within a month after I did. SRs didn't help anything and InfoPass was a waste of time - but they do say that Ombudsman is the "last resort" and you have to try everything before you reach out.
