New card is being produced - AOS from H1B
Hi all. I had my interview this morning and it looks like I got approved. My case is AOS from H1B to marriage based permanent residency. Here is my timeline;
PD: 10/26/2017
Biometrics: 11/30/2017
EAD/AP: 1/3/2018
Interview: 5/3/2018
Field office: MSC
I came home from the interview, checked my status and saw that my status says "New card is being produced". I thought it was weird at first because this will be my first GC so why does it say new? But it sounds like this is pretty normal.
We weren't asked that many questions and the officer didn't seem to want to see every document we brought in so we only shared a few. At the end of the interview, he gave me a letter that says my case is under review. My husband and I were surprised since we have a pretty straight forward case... That's why I am glad I checked the status online!
My journey wasn't as long as I had been warned by my attorney, luckily. Good luck to you all. Let me know if there is anything I can answer about my interview.
