Strokes Interview experience - GOT APPROVED
Married to USC from B1/B2

FILED JUNE 2016
INITIAL INTERVIEW JUNE 2017
STROKES INTERVIEW MAY 2017

Field office - Long Island

So guys almost 2 years after filing for adjustment of status i got an interview letter for strokes interview at Long island field office. We went there on time and called in for interview after 45 mins from the time stated on letter. First of all, we prepared for the strokes interview and i did not had a lawyer. But i researched and had all evidence from last 2 years in 4 big binders. When we called in and I saw him looking at binders and like wow.We sat together then he said to stand up and sworn. Then the first thing he asked is to show the evidence. I pulled out all evidence one by one and give it to him.He verified each and everything like telephone bills, medical insurance, grocery membership, gym membership, work letters, paystubs, bank documents, travel documents, Album with all pics even with parents, credit cards, tax returns also the medical reports showing my wife is pregnant and my name in medical records etc. Then he said you guys have a lot of documents and its fine, the only concern is I want to know what happened at initial interview. Then me and my wife said TBH that officer was too hurry he didn't even look at our evidence properly or bother to ask much questions and it was altogether 10 mins and he said he will send decision in 120 days and we did not recieve anything. He was surprised hearing that. Then we did contact congressman and ombudsman thats how we got the second interview letter. After hearing he asked do you guys know what type of interview is this, we said Strokes. Then he asked do you know what is that mean. Then i said what i know is it gonna be a separated interview. Then he was like i don't think you guys need that.
TBH i was so happy to hear that and i was praying to god for that, not because we were prepared. We were prepared for strokes by practicing all questions.
Then he told us the happy news at last that he is going to approve my case and you will receive your conditional green card within 60 days since you guys did not completed 2 years of marriage(some days left for second anniversary) .
After 2 hours i received a text message saying
your case is updated and when i checked the website it says New Card Is Being Produced. We were so happy.

I have few advice to give to all those who gonna apply Adjustment of status through marriage or been waiting for their status to be adjusted from my experience.

-Patiance and pray. Pray to get a good officer. Tbh some of USCIS officers are not even friendly, they talk to applicants like they are criminals.

-Apply for Advance parole along with Authorization to work when you file the adjustment of status, don't assume the process gonna complete in few months.

-If you did not recieve any update in 6 months from last update do service requests.

-If you did not recieve any decision letter after 120 days from initial interview then contact your congressman and ombudsman the next day. They will push them.

-Save all documents that states both of your names and make sure you guys have a ton of evidence. The more the evidence the more chances to get approved.

-If you are going for initial interview assume that it's a strokes interview and be prepared. cuz then only we will be more alert and gather more evidence.
