I'd like to share my timeline with everyone. As this forum has helped me through much of the process.

No decision from interview yet.

I learned a few important things throughout this process. Hopefully, I can share with you these

1. Online Case Status depends on your IO -- meaning if you're lucky you get an IO who updates your case status and you're well informed. If you're unluckly like I am, my case status gets stuck from the very beginning. There were status delays, inaccurate information, and no updates -- my experience with that is very mixed.

2. Infopass is only helpful when your file reach to the local office. However, some of the information they provide is still not accurate. I was told to wait at least ten months before I can have my interview, it was not the case. For those of you waiting to be scheduled -- be patient, and the letter will come.

3. Customer service line is only useful when you change address and doing non-case related admin stuff. For the times that I have contacted them about my case status, you will get a scripted answer from tier 1 officer. Tier 2 officers are slightly more helpful but your case is not reviewed by them so don't expect to have a solid answer from them.

4. Patience is the key. As a person who used to suffer from anxiety, I know how you feel. Every day that gone pass I always worry about my case. It is a long journey, even if it last you a couple of months or years. Don't let the worries drain you, be positive, and be productive.

5. I have no interview questions -- the officer dived into basic info and 485 yes/no questions directly after flipping through my case file. There were little asked aside from "show me the original marriage certificatre"/ "give me your passport so that I can make copies." At the end she said we will recieve something in the mail and that was it, nothing was handed to us. I assume that if she has any doubt she would ask us more questions. But she is very friendly but serious at the same time. We had some small talk during the interview that she told us she was there for 30 years, it was pretty amazing.

I'd love to answer your questions if you have any.

Wish you all the best, I hope everyone conquers their journey soon.
