Marriage based AOS
Hi guys,

The USCIS received our marriage based AoS application on January 17th, 2018. About a week after that, we received a biometrics notice. I completed my biometrics on February 14th, 2018. Since then there has been no update whatsoever. I filed for the EAD and Travel Authorization as part of our AoS application. Still have not received the EAD/Travel card. I called USCIS 4 times to receive some sort of update. During the first phone call (April 3rd, 2018) I opened a case inquiry and was told that I will get an answer in 30 days. After almost 30 days, the online status of the inquiry was still "not assigned for processing". I then called on May 1st, 2018 to find out why my inquiry is not being reviewed. A rep than submitted a priority inquiry on my behalf and told me that I would get an answer in 5 days. I called 7 days later and another rep told me to wait just a couple more days and I am sure to receive an answer. I called on May 11th, 2018 an the rep told me that since the National Benefits Center takes longer to process applications, I should wait until mine hits a 5 month mark before inquiring.

I filed from Virginia and our application went to the National Benefits Center for processing (MSC). Based on the other posts it looks like several people have about the same timeline as I do (or filed even later than I did), but have already received either the interview notice or the employment/travel card. I thought that they process applications in the order that they receive them! I realize that some people had their applications sent to other locations, which may be the reason why theirs went through faster. My husband and I are concerned if they may have lost our application. I would like to know if anyone is in a similar situation with their application in the National Benefits Center. Any input would be helpful.

P.S. I check the case status daily on both websites and it has not changed since January 23rd, 2018 when they received my check for the biometrics fee.
