Filed for my wife and stepdaughter. Wife got RFE After 1 1/2 months. It took us 5 weeks to return evidence. She had her permanent resident card in only 5 1/2 months total time. No inquiries no calls no infopass. No congressmen. My stepdaughter 2 Inquiries 1 infopass contacted senator 2 calls!! Nothing helped. To expidite was told by email a backlog could take weeks!! Today after 196 days she got her EAD!! I come to the conclusion nothing you a lawyer ombudsman. Or congressmen can do. Just plain luck to get a USCIS working who isn't lazy or just spiteful!! My wife's appointment took 15 minutes approved on the spot. He stated some employees are just mean or don't do their job in a timely manner!! Indianapolis Indiana. NBC I'm natural citizen!! Having dealt with both a fast response and now one taking 7 months for just EAD. no appointment for I-485. Vs 5 1/2 for permanent residency card in hand!!!
