Patiently Waiting - Queens, NY
Hi everyone,

I have been a silent reader and observer of this forum for the last two months. I am becoming extremely anxious, and my stress level has increased tenfold. I am a U.S. citizen who has petitioned for my husband. Upon beginning this journey, our lawyer disclosed to us that the process for attaining a green card through marriage would take approximately six months. Others also told me the same thing. I quickly realized that this prediction of processing times is invalid. Our timeline goes as followed:

PD: 7/20/17
Ready to be scheduled: 8/31/17
EAD/AP: 10/17/17

On 4/18/18 we received a case status update which read "At this time USCIS cannot provide you with information for your case. Please contact the USCIS Contact Center at 1-800-375-5283 for additional information". I have taken a look at the DHS website, and our status still indicates that our interview is yet to be scheduled.

Does anyone have any insight on my situation or a glimmer of hope they can share to put my mind at ease? At this point, I think my hair has begun thinning as a result of this all. Thanks for reading. Have a great day.
